My wife and I met JJ when we started coming to the races in Talladega years ago. He became a very good friend and was always willing to do anything he could for anyone in need. We love JJ and will miss him dearly. Our prayers go out to his family, especially Gaynell and his Mother, both of whom he talked about often and whom we know he loved dearly. May God welcome you into His Kingdom with open arms Jerry.

Gaynell - Don and I are so very sorry to hear of about the death of Jerry. I knew Jerry for almost 40 years and liked him from the first day I met him at Coosa Valley Electric. Please accept our sincere condolences and know that we care so much about you and will be lifting your name up in prayer asking that God will give you the strength you need to carry on
