Whenever I would see T-Wood in town, often at Walmart or Taco Bell, he would act surprised to see me. Like we hadn't run into each other the past weekend or just days before. That was our running joke.
We became friends in high school when we sat next each other in class.
HAYWOOD and HORN.
Alphabetical order.
And as another "native and lifelong resident of Talladega," I am sorry to hear of his passing, and I will miss seeing him in town out and about in the usual places.
Rest in peace, T-Wood.

Mr. Tommy....one of the most humble men I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. If there's one thing I could guarantee it would be walking into work and hearing in a British accent.... Welcome to Pilot how we doing today? Always a helping hand away, or a shoulder to cry on, an ear to vent too, a book of knowledge, a caring soul, and so much more. I hope you knew the impact you made in so many of our lives!! You definitely left a stamp on our hearts sir. I am grateful that you are no longer in pain although you are dearly missed. But I'm also thankful that I have the memories to last a lifetime!!! Don't you worry I'll keep hanging in there....... "like a hair in a biscuit; hanging out both ends" and I'll make sure to........."just tell them I love em"

Such a precious man. I’ll always remember the last time we saw him, talking about Jesus & the goodness of God. What a testimony & legacy to leave behind.
God is calling so many of his children, those that are truly ready HOME.
Praise God for his promise of Heaven to those who have accepted Jesus as Savior & truly live for him!
My husband Glenn wrote a perfect tribute to this sweet man on the post he shared & I’m sharing it below…………………………………
When we leave this world the only thing of importance is that we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
After that, we want to be remembered as a good person, a great friend. We want to be someone who loved and was loved.
T-Wood was all that and more!
You did well my friend.

Marvin my friend, where do I start? Our long lunch conversations, or joking around, your caring personality or just about anything anyone could think about you. I'll forever miss your sense of humor and caring ways. Until we see each other again on the other side my friend.
