Thad Allen Snyder, of Orange Beach, AL, passed away September 27, 2024, at his residence. His funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2024, 11:00 A.M. at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega with Redus Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 1, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Usrey Funeral Home.

Thad was a native of Portland, Indiana and grew up in Ft. Recover and Van Wert, Ohio. He joined the United States Army at the age of 17 and later retired from the Alabama Nation Guard as a command sergeant major after 31 years of service. He proudly served our country in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom and was deployed to Panama for Task Force EOD. Mr. Snyder also served in many police forces including Talladega Police Department, Riverside Police Department, Talladega County Sheriff’s Office, Alabama ABC Board, Alabama State Troopers and Alabama Bureau of Investigation.

Thad is preceded in death by his parents, John David Snyder and Mable Ernestine Snyder; and wife, Terri Snyder.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Snyder; daughters, Tyler Bonds (Ryan), and Tara Snyder; grandchildren, Parker Bonds, Holden Bonds, Erynn Moreland, Brooklyn Moreland, and Enoch Moreland; and sisters Mary Cox, and Joy Snyder (Jim DeHeve).
