I was stationed in Hawaii when I first met Leonard in December 1967. After leaving Hawaii we spent the next 9 months on a second tour of duty in South Viet Nam. We were both Infantry squad leaders and we both were promoted to Sgt E-5 on the same day We returned to Calif and was discharged on 18 Sept 1968. We have spoken a few times since but that was the last that I saw in person. I have included the only picture that I still have. Leonard is kneeling, front row left side and I am standing far right. He was a hell of a Marine and a man. I miss him and his passing hurts R.I.P Ole' Friend...
