Delayne was a loving, kind person with a big heart. His happy-go-lucky personality always brought joy and laughter to those around him. With his skilled carpentry work, he gained the respect of many and was known as the best trim man around. He was given the nickname Saw-man & Saw-dog because at one time he did all the cutting for the project they were building. He loved his family and was so very proud of his son Jeff for preaching and pastoring a church. When he was a child he used to make up stories and make us all laugh. He never lost that trait. He loved to make others laugh. Even when I was down and depressed, he would call me and make me laugh. Sometimes we would talk for over an hour with him telling stories and joking to keep me laughing. Delayne was the best brother. He loved me unconditionally and I knew it. Delayne, I love you and will miss you every day for the rest of my life.
