Betty, my second Mother, I miss and have missed you so much over the past 7 years, since I've been gone. Now, to great sadness learn of your passing, just breaks my heart. Even though there is a very special place in my heart, that you are now and will always and forever be, I still have a big void in my life, where you resided for about 17 years. Through all of those years, you and I talked and usually saw each other every day. Never played before, during those many years, you taught me how to be a seriously mean Poker Player!, we both shared some of the best & fun times ever, we shared so many hysterical laughs together, we helped and gave each other some of the best advice, we enjoyed our sometimes long talks and sharing our great personal stories together, when you and I were joined by others we enjoyed the best poker games ever played and Betty, together we shared hard times, sad times, very happy times, there were times of great loss and times of amazing gain & joy too, we shared kindness and generosity also.
I think that God himself blessed us both, because the day he had our paths first cross, the Best Friendship ever was born. The 17 years our friendship grew and thrived, were some of the best years of my life.
Betty, every single day I think about you and wish we had 17 more years to be friends together. On the days I may be sad or down in the dumps, all I have to do is think about you Betty and what you might say right then to cheer me up.
That's usually we I'll almost always Smile A Huge Smile, because right then, is when I can very clearly hear that always warm, always infectious and always the Happiest & Most Hysterical Laugh I've ever heard... Yes! Your Laugh Betty! I then notice I'm not sad or down anymore, but as usual, you laugh that joyful happy laugh of yours and you now have me laughing too.... I Love & Miss You Betty, but I promise, I'll see you very very soon! EVAN
