Nena Louise Durden, 89, of Talladega passed away May 2, 2022, at her residence. She was surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, May 5,2022 at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel in Talladega with burial at Midway Memory Gardens. Wesley Johnson will officiate the service. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Usrey Funeral Home from 5:00pm-7:00pm.
Nena was a member of Talladega Creek Baptist Church and a lifelong resident of Talladega.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John L. Durden Jr., parents, John T. and Hattie Townsend Sr., sister, Rebecca Townsend Nail, brothers, J.T. Townsend Jr. and Ott Townsend, and great grandchild, John Michael Jones.
She is survived by her children, Ramona Jones (Mike), Lisa Scott (Jimmy), Jan Folsom (Randy), John L. Durden III (Brenda), grandchildren, Jennifer Scott, Heath Folsom (Brittany), Tyler Jones,and Ben Folsom, and great-grandchildren, Arianna, Cory, Amari, Ansley, Owen, and Logan.
Active pallbearers will be Heath Folsom, Tyler Jones, Ben Folsom, Blake Hurst, Mark Nelson, Tony Davis, Roger Griffith,and Lanier Nail.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Townsend, Robert Townsend, Jodie Townsend, Matt Nail, Mike Nail and Joe Mull.
Usrey Funeral Home Talladega will direct Services.
