Mr. Mason Gage Shell, 20, of Pell City, Alabama passed away on April 14, 2022. Mason was employed by St. Vincent’s St. Clair and loved both his job and his coworkers. He was a graduate of Pell City High School Class of 2020. He was a member of the Pell City High School Wrestling team for six years. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Coy and Shirley Shell; great-grandfathers, Rev. J.C. Robinson and Charlie Ross O’Barr; and uncle, Howard Shell. He is survived by his mother, Amanda Stallings (Lester); father, David Shell (Lynn); brothers, Logan Shell, Sean Lauderdale, Travis Hanes (Chasity), and Micheal Mosher; sisters, Amber Elliott (Anthony) and MarLynn Deranger (Chris); grandparents, Larry and Sheila O’Barr; great-grandmothers, Ann Robinson and Mozell Willingham; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, and nieces. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 18, 2022, at Usrey Funeral Home, Pell City, with Rev. Hunter Roe officiating. Burial will follow at St. Clair Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, April 18, 2022, from Noon until 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Logan Shell, Anthony Elliott, Travis Hanes, Chris Deranger, Joey Wachs, Christopher Robinson, Ethan Galvin, and Hayden Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Sean Lauderdale, EJ Oliver, Steven Noah, and Micheal Mosher. Condolences may be offered online at usreyfuneralhome.com. Usrey Funeral Home, Pell City, will direct the service.
