Obituary of David Dell Daniel

Munford – David Dell Daniel, 67, passed away at NHC Healthcare in Anniston on June 17, 2021. Born on March 14, 1954, to Bossie and Josie “Mama D” Daniel and was a lifelong resident of Munford, AL. He retired from the Anniston Army Depot in 2009. David loved his country and had a strong respect for the U. S. military. He was an avid outdoorsman that loved hunting, fishing, and Alabama football. He never met a stranger and was a great storyteller (tall tales). His laughter and storytelling produced lifelong friendships, all over the country, during his many years of following the Crimson Tide with the Alabama Tailgaters Motorhome Group and other Alabama fans. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bossie and Josie Daniel. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Edna Barber Daniel; his son, Jeff Daniel (Kristi); his daughter, Brandi Daniel Adams (Donnie); his step-daughter, Debra Lackey Jarman (Kevin); his brother’s, Rickey Daniel (Glenda), Terry Daniel (Jan); grandchildren, Hannah Daniel Ray (Kasey), Lauren Reaves, Olivia Daniel Hinds (Sage), Hunter Jarman, Abby Prichard, Addyson Jarman, Fisher Prichard and soon to be first great-granddaughter, Ramsey Layne (due in August) and a host of extended family and friends. Pallbearers will be Dallas Barber, Tommy Carlisle, Steve Patterson, Paul Barber, Rickey Daniel, Jr. and Donnie Adams. Honorary pallbearers are all the members of The Alabama Tailgaters Group. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 20, at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega with Kevin Jones officiating. The family will receive friends and extended family for one hour prior to the service also at Usrey Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Munford, AL.
