James “Big Red” Weaver passed away at his home in Pell City, Alabama on May 16, 2021.
Big Red is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Weaver, Sr. and Jerolyn “Mary” Weaver. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Diane Wood Weaver. They were married in Cropwell, Alabama on October 7,2000.
Big Red is also lovingly remembered by his six children, Jonathan (Haley) Cagle of Verbena, Alabama, Jordan (Anastasia) Cagle of Temple, Georgia, Ian Wood of Gadsden, Alabama, and Axl, Rain and Vince Weaver of Pell City, Alabama; and by one grandchild, McKenzie Cagle of Verbena, Alabama.
Red was born on July 27, 1966 and was raised in Cropwell, Alabama. He was a carpenter who built hundreds of homes and countless friendships. He loved to be around his children and loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed backroad riding, deep sea fishing and arrowhead hunting. He was an extremely selfless person who would do anything for those whom he loved.
