I first met Eddie at TST. He was one of the friendliest people I believe I've ever met. Moving back to my hometown of Pell City, after living in North Alabama for close to 20 years, sitting in the stands of the pit area and feeling so far out of my element, Eddie was the one who made me feel so welcome, I felt as if I had always been a part of. He will truly be missed by me, as well as many others, never realizing the lasting impression he made. He was one of those dying breed of men who gave the word GENTLEMAN real meaning. My prayers of hope are with his family, whom he held the highest unconditional love for, to find peace that can only come from the One above.

Pop was one of the nicest and hardest working gentleman we had the pleasure of knowing. He was a loving family man. And truly enjoyed farming and working with his boys. He loved watching them race at TST and was so excited to watch his grandson Derek begin his racing career at TST. He always enjoyed it when his grandson Daniel helped with them with farming and spending time together . He was so proud of LeighAnn and all she did for him. He loved Kristy and Ginny as if they were his own children. Pop loved his family, his friends, his work and racing family. Eddie will be deeply missed by all that knew him. He leaves our hearts full of memories that will keep him always in our hearts. RIP Pop
