Tim Pitts was a great friend, a buddy with whom I shared memories of kayaking Choccolocco Creek and laughing through the work day. Tim was always welcoming and affable with my family and son. The founding member of the Oxford Police Department's "White T Crew," Tim had a way of pushing me to accomplish that which I didn't think I could. He was dependable on every call we answered. He was a good guy.
Buddy, you are missed. The news of your passing was devastating. I know that your family loved you and will miss you everyday. Thank you for being part of my life and giving great memories of the time shared.

The Gallahar's would like to take the time to express our most heart felt condolences to the Pitts family for their loss. Tim was one of the most beloved and respected servants of our community. Officer Pitts served Oxford High School over the last several years as a school resource officer. He had an incredible heart for our students. He had a way of making everyone God put in his path feel confident, safe and secure about the day. Our office staff, custodians, cafeteria CNP workers, teachers, and administrators were all impacted by his service to OHS. When I think of what a SRO should be his face comes to mind as an iconic figure of integrity and service. He will be greatly missed by all of us. The halls of our school will not be the same without him.
