Deb, James, Jeff, I feel compelled to tell you just how big an impact Annie Pearl had on my life. While your grandmother Mrs Martin, was alive every Christmas she would give me a shoe box full of Tea Cakes, I loved and still love them. I have such wonderful memories of her tea cakes, vacation bible school, cool aid and fellowship. When your Grandmother passed, Annie Pearl for years while I was living down in Florida and had wandered way far from the path and teachings we got at Popes Chapel; she would send me a shoe box of Tea Cakes for Christmas. I could not then nor now think about a tea cake without remembering my roots and Christian values we all were taught and your mother as well as mine was Always there at the forefront of our Christian education. Those Tea Cakes had a huge part in my coming back to my senses so to speak and pointed me back to my Christian roots and upbringing. When I was lost down there and I would call my mother it never failed that she would tell me that Annie Pearl was asking about me and concerned about me. I am truly thankful that I had the privilege to know and love and be known and loved by your mother. I know that she and mother both are rejoicing in their heavenly home. No brighter shinning angel have ever passed through this world than Annie Pearl.
