Obituary of Patricia Phillips Miller
Talladega
Patricia Phillips Miller passed away April 5th, 2018. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 9, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church in Talladega with Leeann Scarborough officiating. The family will receive friends prior to service beginning at 11:00 a.m. also there at the church. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park.
Mrs. Miller served our community and state for many years with the American Red Cross. She was a representative of the Alabama Silver-Haired Legislation, past president of both the Rotary Club and Alabama Retired State Employees Assoc., inducted into the Hall of Fame for the Alabama Senior Citizens and received their Golden Eagle Medal of Honor.
Patricia is survived by her sons, Robert Donald Miller (Michelle), Phillip Lawrence Miller (Kathryn); daughter, Martha Miller Boydston (Mike); grandchildren, Robert Donald Miller III (Jessica), Chelsea Miller Campbell (Chris), Cason Miller Cox (Ryan), Michael Hunter Boydston, Houston McCree Miller, Kathryn Isabella Brown, John Franklin Brown; great-grandchildren, Anthony Grant Campbell, Robert Cole Miller; nieces, Paige Davis and Erica Phillips.
Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Robert Donald Miller; brothers, Jimmy Lawrence Phillips; parents, Charles Houston Phillips and Gladys Louise McCraven.
Pallbearers will be Robert Donald Miller III, Michael Hunter Boydston, Houston McCree Miller, John Franklin Brown, Christopher Campbell, Ryan Cox, Jimmy Horton and Boyd McGhee.
Honorary pallbearers are Rotary Club Members, Alabama Retired State Employees Assoc., Alabama Silver Haired Legislation, Jerry Fielding, Julian King, Charlie Gaines, Jim Spratlin, Joe Wayne Ingram, Alton Cooper, Lamar Edwards, Jeffrey Roberts and Steve Hurst.
