I just found out you died on March 7, 2018. I am deeply saddened, but it explains why we could not keep in touch and why you didn’t respond to my emails after I moved to Tennessee. As you know I am certain I will see you again in the next age and we will be friends forever even if we continue to disagree on our differences of opinions. Argument was in our natures. You were smart, witty, and one of the best story tellers I’ve ever known. You once told me you wanted me to deliver your eulogy at your funeral. I could not bear the thought of doing so. But I am sending this missive as my final email to you and will post it in your memory.
As we discussed several times, the following encapsulates my belief in what awaits us in the next age. I believe and hope this because I recognize myself as a sinner, not a saint.

I was once asked what I would say at judgment to Christ if I were wrong by a man who believed in and taught the never-ending suffering of sinners. My answer to him was easy. But he became speechless when I asked him what he would say at judgment if he were wrong.
Believing in a merciful and just God does not mean that I believe there is no “age-during”lake of fire for the unrepentent, but I am convinced that at the end of Christ’s millennial reign, every knee will have bowed in the lake and acclaimed Yeshua as Lord, the clearly stated scriptural prerequisite for salvation.
