Funeral service for Cecil G. Roberson, 95 of Talladega will be Saturday June 6, 2015 at Central Baptist Church at 11:00 am. Rev. Marc Gurlee will officiate and burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. His family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 pm at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega. Mr. Roberson passed away June 3, 2015 at Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga, AL. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Roberson. Mr. Roberson was a native of Alpine and a longtime resident of Talladega. He was a member of Central Baptist Church where he was still actively attending. He was a US Army WWII Veteran. He was the recipient of three Bronze Stares and participant in the Battle of the Bulge. He retired with 33 years of service from Kimberly Clark. One of his greatest joys in life was working on his farm. He is survived by his son, Tommy Roberson (Sharon), 2 grandchildren Jennifer Kiser and Addam Roberson, 5 great grandchildren, brother, William Roberson, numerous nephews and nieces, and his family at The Gardens of Talladega. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The Gardens of Talladega 130 Seasons Way Talladega AL 35160.
