I worked with Mr. Cottingham at Sloss Furnaces on the weekend when he came to volunteer. I will always remember his warmth and kindness towards others and that big big smile. He was such a wonderful man. Every time he'd leave he'd say "Ok Love you girls!" He loved my coffee and I always loved to share a cup with him. I will never forget him. I'm so happy I was able to know this sweet man. Many condolences to the family. Sending all my love.

Please accept my condolence for your loss. I was able to get to know Joe while serving with the Carpenter's For Christ. I also traveled with him on these trips. Joe was a very kind gentlemen. He and I had a lot of conversations over the years during our time together. There is no doubt that Joe loved the Lord. You can tell that by his willingness to serve Him. Joe definately had the spiritual gift of encouragement. With our Carpenter's For Christ trip coming up next month, it will be different without him. He will be missed by many, but we know where he is, and one thing that comforts me during times like these is knowing that no two Christians will ever meet for the last time.

Br. Joe was a light for God everywhere he went. He was a true picture of what a man of God should look like. Joe is now with his Father in heaven but his legacy goes on in the hearts and lives of so many that were touched by his "servant heart". Well done, Br. Joe!
Love,
