Obituary of Mary Jane Skidmore

Mary Jane was born in Kanawha County West Virginia on August 2, 1930. She is preceded in death by her parents Lon and Artie Mae Harper, sister Virginia Wright and brother Lon F. Harper.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bob Skidmore of Lincoln,AL., son Robert(Linda) Morris of Eastaboga,daughters Beverly Ann McCue of Cumming,GA., Karen Lynn Skidmore of Norcross,GA., grandchildren Olivia Skye (Jarred)Vise of Riverside,AL., Mary Sophia of Eastaboga,AL., Amanda (Barry) Walker of Odenville,AL., and great grandchildren Hanna and Beck Walker also Odenville,AL.; Sister Annabelle Tucker of Charleston, West Virginia; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends who loved and respected her dearly.
Mary Jane was an active member of Lincoln Methodist Church, which she attended for over 25 years. She was also a member of the Lincoln Garden Club, Lincoln Quest Club, Lincoln Sewing Club and NARFE. She will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and love of her family and friends.
Mary Lane was employed with Defense Electronic Supply Center in Kettering,Ohio and retired from Anniston Army Depot. Upon retiring from Anniston Army Depot, she worked for Lincoln City Hall for many years thereafter.
