Obituary of Linda Melton Boyd

Mrs. Boyd was a native of Wadley and a resident of Talladega for the past 45 years. She was retired from Nordson and worked at Palm Beach for 33 years. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist and loved quilting and gardening. She is preceded in death by her husband Kirby Ray Boyd, daughter Janie Marie Boyd, parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Melton, brothers, Donald Melton and J.V. “Smiley” Melton, sister, Rose Melton. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Her survivors include her daughter, Diann Phillips (Chad), sons, Keith Boyd and Anthony Boyd all of Talladega, grandchildren, Heather Thrower, Lacey Thrower-Phillips, Jackson Boyd, sisters, Retha Cox of Kansas, Sylvia Herrin (Ridley) of Woodland, Georgia Ann Wood (Eugene) of TX, Janet Smith of Wedowee, brothers, Fred Melton (JoAnn) of Valley, Larry Melton of Talladega, Gary Melton (Glenda) of Wadley and Bruce Melton of TX, along with many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be John Luker, Shane Davis, Joey Puckett, Rickey Herren, Neslon Britt, and Chris Melton.
