Funeral services for Betty Dixson Johnson, 79 of Wellington, formerly Talladega, will be Saturday at 11 am at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega. Rev. Larry Mitchell will officiate and burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery of Munford. Her family will receive friends Friday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Johnson passed away March 7, 2012 at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital. She was a long time Talladega County resident and was of the Baptist faith. She is preceded in death by her husband Pete Johnson and daughter Georgia Anna Shaddix. Survivors include her daughter, Marie Bennett (Bob) of GA, sons, Phillip Johnson (Pam) of Wellington, Clarence Johnson (Brenda) of Talladega, Jessie Johnson (Jeanette) of Ashland, Donald Johnson (Kathy) of Talladega, Robert Johnson (Charlotte) of Munford, Billy Johnson (Vickie) of Lincoln, sisters, Mary Katherine Salter of Minford, Sara Franklin of GA, brother, Daniel Shuler of Eastaboga, 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
