Since our school days at Douglas High School, Sibyl and I have enjoyed a close friendship, even though we lived in different states most of those years. Sibyl loved her family, her church and community and was involved in many worthwhile activities. Through letters and telephone calls she kept me informed of books she was reading, various programs she was giving and Elderhostels she was participating in. She was a fun, witty, smart, delightful and sincere person who believed in living each day to the fullest. She will be greatly missed by many people. I send my sincere sympathy to the family of my dear friend Sibyl Bynum. Audrey Dodd Bales Monroe, NC
