Mr. Gentry was a native of Cherokee County. He lived in Talladega most of his life, was a veteran of The Korean War, retired from Newbury Foundry, and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Mr. Gentry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joyce Gentry, 3 sons, Chris Gentry (Sandra), Tim Gentry(Vicki), and Steven Gentry, 3 grandsons, Brandon, Adam, and Connor, 3 granddaughters, Erica, Jessica, and Sarah, and 1 great-granddaughter, Claire.
