Mrs. Henly passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2012 after a brief illness. She was born on March 8, 1915 in Plantersville, Alabama to John and Willie May Christie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurston Henley, parents, John and Willie May Christie; sisters, Emma Lou Wade and Virginia Joiner; brother John Bryant Christie; nephews, John and Chris Wade. She is survived by two daughters: Carol (Ronnie) Dear of Alabaster; Emily (Blake) Fulmer of Hoover; five grandchildren, Randall (Tiffani) Dear of San Diego, California; Steve (Pam) Fulmer of Birmingham; Jeffrey (Jamie) Dear of Alabaster; Beth (Jon) Zeimet of Spanish Fort, Alabama; Cyndi (Dave) Abercrombie of Alabaster; ten great grandchildren ; Wes and Reed Fulmer; Ethan and Madison Dear; Aby, Jonah and Will Abercrombie; Emma and Jon Ryan Zeimet and Caroline PorterfleldPallbearers will be: Randall Dear. Steve Fulmer, Jeffrey Dear, Dave Abercrombie, Jon Zeimet and Richard Joiner. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Vincent's St. Clair and Dr. Helms during her illness. A very special thanks to Joyce St. John and her family for all the love and care they have given over the last three years, and to Gayle Lee and Sally Jackson for the love and care over the last year.
