Obituary of Louise Briggs
Please share a memory of Louise to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Louise Folmar Briggs, age 83 of Talladega Alabama went home to be with Jesus on Monday February 20th, 2012 after an extended battle with cancer. Louise was born December 13, 1928 in Goshen, Alabama to Hugh Ross Folmar and Mamie Davis Folmar. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, five brothers and one sister. Her remaining brother Walter Duncan Folmar resides in Glenwood Alabama.
Louise was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Max C. Briggs Sr. She was a dedicated and loved pastor's wife serving alongside her husband in many churches both in Alabama and Georgia. She was the proud and wonderful Mother of three children: Angela Briggs Boozer and son in law David W. Boozer, Debora Briggs Sutton and son in law Jerry Steve Sutton, and son Max C. Briggs Jr. and daughter in law Sheila Allen Briggs. She adored all of her 11 Grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Right before her passing she was excited to learn that she has two more precious great grand children on their way. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Louise loved to cook for her family; work in her beautiful flower and vegetable garden and when time would seldom allow, she loved to fish from the pier. She enjoyed her many friends who often visited with her and were always welcome in her home.
The Family invites you to celebrate her Homegoing on Wednesday February 22,2012 at Central Baptist Church in Talladega Alabama. The family will receive guests at the church from 12 to 2 PM. A celebration of her life will begin at 2:00 PM in the sanctuary with her son Max C. Griggs Jr. and Pastor Sam Tate officiating.
