Funeral services for Charles Edward Wilson, 85, of Talladega, were
Monday, January 30, 2012 at 2 PM at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel. Rev.
Ivan Fuller officiated and burial was in Pine Hill Memorial Park.Mr. Wilson went to meet his Lord and Savior and to be reunited with his beloved wife of 52 years, Allie Wilson and beloved son Charles Wilson Jr.
on January 28, 2012 at Citizens BMC.Mr. Wilson was a lifelong resident of Talladega. He was a member of
Southwood Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon. He was
owner and operator of the Talladega Pepsi Distribution from 1948 to 1989.
He also was on the Board of Directors for: Alabama Institute for the Deaf
and Blind, Talladega Housing Authority and AmSouth Bank. He was also a Navy veteran of WW II.
He is survived by his children Connie Welcher (Mike), Shan Wilson
(Mitch), sisters, Vernice Knight (James), Betty Steed (Pat), brother, Paul
Wilson (Geraldine) and several nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be Jeffry, Carson and Doug Camp, Horace Bates, Buddy Wesley, Steve Giddens, and Bo Hollingsworth.Honorary pallbearers will be Pepsi Cola Bottling Co. employees of
Talladega.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be sent to the Alabama Institute for teh Deaf adn Blind 205 South Street East, Talladega, AL 35161
