His survivors include is wife Kathy Cozad, children, Gene Ray Cozad II, Garrett Raynes Cozad, Kandis Mills, Megan Johnson, Carol Cozad, Ashley Cozad and many of their significant others, grandchildren, Patrick Lake, Nick Coile, Craig Cozad, Melissa Sanders, Brandon Mills, Hannah Johnson, Johnny Johnson, Jake Johnson, Addie Walker, 3 step-grandchildren, great-grandson, Talon Coile, sisters, Marilyn Scott, Donna Edwards, brother, Lynn Cozad and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Cozad passed away January 14, 2012 at the VA Hospital in Birmingham.His close friend, Rev. Joe Harris will officiate.
He was a native of Illinois and was a well recognized mechanic in Central Illinois area. He has lived in Talladega County since 1993 and was a member of Lincoln United Methodist Church. Mr. Cozad is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Mildred Cozad, daughter, Kelly Marie Cozad, twin sister, Judy Colby, brothers, JR Cozad and Larry Cozad.
