Background:He had a love for reading, golf and cooking. "Dickie" was well known in the Cahaba Heights area, where he spent most of his life, for his backyard barbeques at his home on Kyle Lane.
Preceded in Death by:He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lewis, and by his parents, Richard Travis Lewis and Eunice P. Lewis.
Survivors:Daughter: Tracy Lewis Rigsby and her husband, Jimmy Rigsby., Stepdaughter: Dawn Ledbetter Messer and her husband, Greg Messer, Son: Wesley Lewis and his wife, Amy Lewis, Richard Travis "Tripp" Lewis, III and his wife, Shaye Lewis, Brother: Gordon Lewis, Grandchildren: Blake & Celeste Harris, Jacob, Corey & Sadie Lewis, Lauren & Aaron Chase Lewis, Mary Martin, Max, Malcolm & Maggie Messer., Aunt: Ruth Peer, and by his devout friend, Dianne Reaves.
Memorial Services will be announced by the family at a later date.
