John Marvin "Johnnie" McKibbon, 83, of Munford died Sunday December 8, 2013 at Trinity Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham. He was born October 29, 1930 to James Paul and Callie Armbrester McKibbon.
Johnnie was the owner of McKibbon Excavating and Landscaping Company in Talladega. After retirement, he decided to do something different. He farmed, raised cattle, beefalo and catfish and eventually built his dream home underground. Johnnie is survived by his long time cherished companion Betty Turner, his children Terry Liner (Randy) and Dannie McKibbon (Judith), grandchildren Lesli Bussie (Jared), Brandon McKibbon, Mason McKibbon and Tristan Kendrick and Great- grandchildren Jade and Jalie Bussie and his brother James BB McKibbon Jr. Graveside services will be held Wednesday December 11,2013 at 1:00pm at the Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Munford .Family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home Wednesday from11:30 until 12:30. Bobby Curlee will officiate service and Brandon McKibbon, Mason Mckibbon, Jared Bussie Tim Caldwell and Darby Caldwell will serve as pallbearers.
