A Service of Worship to the Resurrection for Samuel “Sam” Lewis, 60, of Talladega will be Monday, December 2, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Talladega. The Rev. Leeann Scarbrough and The Rev. Jeff Woods will officiate. Mr. Lewis passed away November 25, 2013 in Birmingham, AL after a short illness. Sam was born in Talladega on November 9, 1953, to Naomi Williams Lewis and the late William Vaughan Lewis, Jr. and. He was a graduate of Talladega High School and Auburn University. He was a registered consulting forester and owned his own forestry consulting business. He is survived by his wife, Lea and step-grandchildren, Rob and Leanna Ritchie; his mother Naomi; siblings and nieces and nephews, Linda Zvonar, Amy Tirado, and Noel; Bill, Seth and Quinn; Tim, Andrew, Laura and Rebecca; and Richard, John, Madeleine, Audrey and Isabelle Lewis. Sam was a member of Southwood Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials for the general fund of Southwood P.C. are welcomed. Address: 205 Elizabeth Avenue Talladega, AL 35160.
