Dear Chris and Family, My heart goes out to you at this sad time. Although I had not seen George in many years, I have had, and always will have, a special place in my heart for him. He spent so much time at our house growing up that I felt like he was part of our family. In fact, my father (Ben Smith), is probably largely, if not entirely, responsible for the love George had of hunting and fishing. I was glad to finally meet you, even though it was under such sad circumstances. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Shelby Campbell

Chris, I am so sorry for your loss. I was in Virginia at that time but just want you to know that my prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. Just remember that I am right here across the road from you and if I can help you in any way I will be here for you. I wish I could tell you time would heal everything but I can't but it will get some easier. Just be thankful for the time your two had together and know I am thinking and praying for you.....

George and I went to grammar school together at RiverView. We were friends but not close...I always chose the local gym and baseball field for my passion; George the river and woods. He was wise and gifted when it came to outdoor life. My memories are fond and honorable. I'm sorry to hear of this world losing him. Tony (Rhonda) Gibson
