Survivors: Wife of 65 Years, Maudine (Dean) Elliott of Talladega, Daughter, Linda Elliott Nelson (Crawford) of Talladega, Son, Mike Elliott (Sally) of Anniston, Grandchildren: Jill Nelson Durden (Mark), Lucy Nelson Hamilton (Jack), Brad Nelson (Molly), & Chad Elliott, Great-Grandchildren: Sophie Hamilton, Jackson Hamilton, & Dison Durden.Preceded in Death: Parents: J.P. & Siddie Elliott & Brothers:Milton & Ray Elliott.Clergy: Rev. Jim McCain.Pallbearers: Jack Hamilton, Brad Nelson, Chad Elliott, Richard Williams, Mark Durden, Paul Golden.Honorary Pallbearers: , Joe Mitchell Ron Elliott, Billy McGinnish Wayne Sherbert, Retired Employees of South Centeral Bell,.Background: Veteran of WWII, having served in the U.S. Navy during WWII on the U.S.S, San Jacinto, fought in 8 major battles in the Pacific. Recieved the Presidental Unit Citation Award. Retired with 34 years of service with South Centeral Bell in 1981. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his Grandchildren, he also enjoyed shering stories of his farm life in Clay County, fishing on the creek bank, and hunting.
