He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Holmes, daughter Mary Holmes, step-daughter, Hannah Denny, Father, Derring Holmes, Sr. (Wanda Goodro), mother-in-law, Rebecca Northington, brother and sister, Tony and Monica Key, uncle Terry Holmes (Laura Standowicz), special mother, Imgard Crenshaw, along with numerous cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Harvey, Daniel Herrington, Kevin Northington, Keith Scott, Brandon Frost, and Kirk Johnson. Mr. Holmes passed away Friday in Talladega.
He was a native of California and a long time Alabama resident. He was a self-employed painter and musician. His family request you wear red and white since he was an avid Alabama fan.
Bill Boos and Michael Jones will officiate.
