Betty Jo ("Memaw", "Nan") Cottingham, at the age of 81, rose to her heavenly father in Talladega, Alabama on April 1, 2011. Preceded in her passing by her mother and father (Luther Franklin Rochester and Clara Cagle Rochester), four brothers and one sister. Betty is survived by her devoted husband, J.O. Cottingham, her brothers Harvey and Leldon Rochester, her daughters Judy Gunter and Renee LeCroy, her sons John and Jim Nix, James and Don Cottingham, her 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Betty devoted her life to her loving family and to God, bearing the light of the Lord and sharing generously with every shadowed soul. Her grace, beauty and love lives on in the lives of those touched by her.
