Obituary of Katherine Smith

Mrs Smith was born in Talladega County She Lived most of her life in Munford and Talladega. She was a member of Munford United Methodist Church: She was active in church work in her youth with the church parlor having been named "The Smith Room" in honor of her and her sister, Chappell . She was active in Munford Homemakers Club and was an excellent and award winning seamstress. She was active in school affairs, in her young adult years, and in PTA where she served as president. She had a great love for music and she encouraged this in her family members, She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was Preceded in death by; Her husband of 72 years: J. Hugh Smith Her parents; William Samuel and Effie Chupp Hiett A Daughter; Betty Smith Stewart Three Sisters and Six Brothers Son -Randall Hugh Smith and wife, Jewell Daughter - Elaine S. Stephens and husband, Jackie Son-in law-Jimmy M. Stewart Grandchildren- Joel Mack Stewart,(Mary) Leslie Hugh Stephens (Gina), Eric Neal Smith (Lisa), and Allyson S. Beason (Harold). Great-Grandchildren; Cindi King, Jessica Hooks Ashley Stephens Hallmark (Trae) Katherine Stephens, Adam Stephens, Macy Nemeth, Lana Beason, Alex Beason, Logan Smith and Landon Smith. Great-Great Grandchildren: Dayton King, Chase Hallmark and Parker Nemeth. Brother: Frank Hiett ( Dixie) and numerous Neices and Nephews
