Obituary of Wallace Morris

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dot Forrest Morris, of Talladega; son, Deke Morris of Talladega; daughters, Susie Taylor and husband Larry Taylor of Talladega; Dottye Armstrong and husband Jim Armstrong of Talladega; grandchildren, Candice Morris, Dusty Arnold, Jodi Arnold, Alex Armstrong, Olivia Armstrong, and Lola Armstrong; and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Alex Armstrong, Jim Armstrong, Dusty Arnold, Curt Canada, David Hancock, and Larry Taylor. Honorary Pallbearers are friends and customers of Deke’s Grocery, Bait and Tackle. He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Morris; mother, Josie Knight Cochran; son, Trees Jackson Morris; brother, Steve Morris; and granddaughter, Brooke Parker. He was a veteran of The Korean War, retired from Crown Textile and co-owner of Deke’s Grocery, Bait, and Tackle for 30 years. Father Ben Turnage, officiating. Comfort Care Hospice Chaplain Gregory Tankersley will provide the music.
