Obituary of James Thomas Watson

Mr. Watson died peacefully Saturday, February 26, at his home. Mr. Watson was a native of Talladega County, and he loved the town of Lincoln, where he lived all his life. He graduated from Lincoln High School. As a member of Lincoln Baptist Church, he served as a life-long Deacon. He was dedicated to his faith and prayed daily for his family and friends. He was a founding member of Lincoln Booster Club and remained devoted to this endeavor throughout his life. He served in the United States Army from 1951-53. He spend most of his adult life as a farmer and in service to others. Mr. Watson is preceded in death by his parents, Kennedy and Florence Watson. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Robbiemaye Watson. Other survivors include a sister, Eleanor Watson Majure; his children, Deborah W. and Danny Prickett, Jay Watson, Sheri W. and Vic Teem, and Chris C. and Stephanie Watson. In addition, he is survived by 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be John Hugh Talley, Andy Allred, Robert O. (Punkin) Ford, Tommy Disspain, Allan Brooks, Robin Hudson, Mike (Hippo) Turner, and Bobby Carlisle. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Lincoln Baptist

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to Lakeside Hospice, P. O. Box 544, Pell City, AL 35125
