Obituary of Mavis Jeanette Bounds

Funeral services for Mrs. Mavis Jeanette Bounds, 78, will be Thursday, February 17, 2011, 3 p.m. at Usrey Chapel with Chaplain Greg Tankersley officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park.
Mrs. Bounds died Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at her residence. She was a native of Sylacauga but lived in Talladega since 1968 and was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence & Myrtle Matson; sisters, Ora Lee Hall & Opal Finn; brothers, Elmer & Alton Matson.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Louis L. Bounds of Talladega; daughters, Martha Green and Brenda Johnson (Clarence) both of Talladega ; son, Edward Bounds of Talladega; grandchildren Michael Munn (Jennifer), Mandy Adkerson (Neil), Morgan Munn, Marsha Matthews (Luther), Matthew Johnson & Edward Bounds Jr.; 9 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 16, 2011, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Usrey.
