Mr. George Carey "Red" Fannin of Talladega passed away Thursday, September 2, 2010. He was a native of Grassmere. He lived in Talladega and was the owner and operator of Fannin Auto Parts. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Nabors Fannin, and his mother, Velma Cannon Fannin. Graveside services will be Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 11:00AM at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Pastor Danny Ryals officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00. He is survived by his daughters, Susan Fannin Gunter, Talladega, Linda Fannin Stuart, Talladega; son, Edwin Fannin, Talladega; grandchildren, Holt Gunter, Lee Gunter, Jessica Scott Stuart, Megann Stuart; great-grandchildren, Tristin Gunter, Caylee Gunter; brother, Hank Fannin, Talladega; sister, Faye Smith, Germantown, TN; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pallbearers will be Edwin Fannin, Scott Stuart, Lee Gunter, Walter Morrison, Chuck Stewart, and Jason Mitchell. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association or to a charity of your choice.
