Obituary of Thomas Wayne Heath

Thomas Wayne Heath, 67 of Lincoln will be Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the chapel of Usrey Funeral Home. Rev. Jack Washington, and Nephew Barry Baines will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. His family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00-1:00 and Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct. Mr. Heath passed away April 7, 2015 at UAB. He is preceded in death by sister, Barbara Heath Tiner, brother, James Heath, brother-in-law, Burl Heath, parents, Cecil and Dorothy Heath, He was a native of Calhoun County and a longtime resident of Lincoln. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving from 1968-1974. He was the owner and operator of Midway Way Auto Parts of Lincoln since 1974, and Lincoln Hardware and Supply since 2008. He was of the Methodist Faith and was financially active in his community. He loved to golf and was an avid fisherman and hunter, loved to be involved in outdoor activities and traveling, loved spending time with his family, and was a licensed pilot and a license builder. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Elizabeth Heath, children, Kimberly Heath Cooper (Joey), Steven Wayne Heath (Maranda), grandchildren, Reed Cooper, Carlie Heath, Abbie Heath, and Ashton Heath, brother, Donald Heath (Robin) of Lakeland FL, sisters, Patricia Heath of Lincoln, Linda Massey (Don) of Auburndale FL, Brenda Tapia (Steve) of Seattle, WA, several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jeff Heath, Greg Heath, Scotty Baines, Joe Brown, David Brown, Jonathan Graves, and Matthew Graves. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of his businesses.
