Obituary of Fitzhugh Augustus Burttram

Name: Mr. Fitzhugh Augustus Burttram, 95 of Ashville, Alabama passed away March 27th at his home surrounded by family.
Background: Mr. Burttram served in the Navy in WWII. He practiced law in Birmingham many years before he became District Attorney for St. Clair and Blount Counties. After retirement he went to seminary school in New Orleans and served his church, Pine Forest Baptist, as a deacon. In addition, he was a member of the Ashville Masonic Lodge, Birmingham Scottish Rite, Zamora Shrine, Ashville American Legion, and was an avid defender of the 2nd Amendment. He loved people and will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fitzhugh Lee Burttram and Dora Irene Jones Burttram, and by his loving wife, Anna Louise Williams Burttram, as well as his four younger brothers, James Sanford, Floyd Edison, Jessie Clem, and Charles Eugene Burttram.
He is survived his Daughter: Rebecca Coker, Granddaughters: Michele Lee (Rick), Tanya Sue, Great-Grandchildren: Joshua Eason (Heather), Haley Eason, Lauren Eason, Alvin Crump (Jordan), Adam Crump (Courtney), Dakota Crump, and their father, Randy Crump. He also leaves new Great-Great-Granddaughter: Henley. He will be missed by Sisters-in-Law: Betsy Burttram, Ellie Burttram, Ana Lou Burttram, and Sue Saunier, He leaves many nephews, nieces, and a host of friends.
Service: 11:00 am on Wednesday April 1, 2015 at Usrey Funeral Home, Pell City
