Obituary of Kelly Marie Bates Adams

Funeral service for Kelly Marie Bates Adams, 45 of Munford will be Sunday March 29, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the chapel of Usrey Funeral Home. Rev. Frankie Swinney will officiate and burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery at Munford. Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct. Her family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00-2:00 pm. Mrs. Adams died suddenly, and has gone home to be with her Lord and her son Austin, on March 27, 2015 at Citizens BMC. She is preceded in death by brother, Jeff Bates, son Austin Bailey Adams, grandparents, John T. and Lucille Bates and Edward and Zera Rouse. She was born in Anniston and was a graduate of Munford High School. She was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church where she was Youth Choir Director and extremely active with the youth. She was employed at New Beginnings Daycare in Talladega. She loved all the children in her class. Kelly loved her family, children and grandchildren. They were her pride and joy. Kelly never met a stranger and will be missed by all who knew her. Her survivors include her husband of 24 years, Tony Adams, sons, Anthony Adams (Heather), Logan Adams, mother, Rebecca Holston (Rodney), father, Thomas Beachie Bates (Marsha), grandchildren, Kaylee Rae and Austin Blake Adams, sisters, Karen Watts, and McKayla Bates, step-sisters, Rebecca Jordan Parker, Jessalyn Jordan, step-brothers, Steven Jordan (Angie) Kellen Jordan (Melissa), and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Nathan Pritchett, Kenneth Smith, Kenny Pritchett, Maverick Pritchett, Woody Milikien and Tyler Ponder. Honorary pallbearers will be the young men of Bethlehem United Methodist Church.
