Obituary of Doris Elizabth Webber O'Neal

Doris Elizabeth Webber O'Neal of Talladega, Alabama went home to be with the Lord October 18, 2013. She was born December 27, 1922 to Art Bannister and Eula Belle Webber in Clay County, Alabama. She married James Howard O'Neal of Talladega on August 20, 1946. She was married to Howard for 51 years and worked side by side with him for 37 years in their grocery store near Eastaboga. They both loved to serve people in their community and serve the Lord Jesus as members of Craig Memorial United Methodist Church. She and Howard both served on various committees in the church and were devoted choir members. Doris loved people and cared for people all her life. She had many friends that she loved as family. She was a loving mother to Jimmy and Joan. She made many sacrifices for them. Doris was a life-long resident of Alabama until 2010 where she had to move near Joan in Kingston, TN. because of her declining health. She was preceded in death by her parents. Art and Eula Webber, husband, James Howard O'Neal, son, James Howard O'Neal, Jr., and daughter Iris Faye O'Neal. She is survived by daughter, Joan Riddick (Terry) of Kingston, TN, 4 Grandchildren: Tammy O'Neal Bishop (Lee) of Talladega, Al; Michael O'Neal, Talladega, Al; Kelly Riddick Albert, Cumming, GA; and Joseph Bradley Riddick, Knoxville, TN. 5 Great-grandchildren: Jessica O'Neal, Talladega, Hunter O'Neal, Talladega, Matthew Bishop, Talladega, Richie Albert, Richmond, VA, and Ashley Albert, Richmond, VA. 1 great-great grandchild: Shaylynne O'Neal, Lincoln, Al.
