Funeral service for Earl J. Roberts, 87, of Talladega will be Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 1:00 pm at First United Methodist Church of Talladega. Rev. Minnie Bailey will officiate and burial will be in Liberty Hill Cemetery. His family will receive friends at the church from 12:00-1:00 and Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct.
Mr. Roberts passed away February 24, 2015 in Sylacauga.
He was a native of Collinsville AL where he graduated High School. Undergraduate at JSU where he played football. Lifelong member of First United Methodist Church of Talladega.
Mr. Roberts is preceded in death by his wife Frances Harkins Roberts, parents, Joseph and Ruth Roberts.
Survivors include his children Chuck Roberts, Jeff Roberts, Brenda Hollingsworth, Johnny Roberts, 12 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to First United Methodist Church of Talladega, 400 East South Street, Talladega, AL 35160 or The Big Oak Ranch in Gadsden, AL
