John Acker Mowery, age 65, of Talladega passed away on Friday, December 17, 2010.
Graveside services will be Sunday, December 18, 2010, at 2:00PM, at Hepzibah Baptist Church Cemetery.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Acker Mowery and Annie Mae Mowery, sisters, Frances Sprayberry and Adelle Adams.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served on the USS Enterprise.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda H. Mowery, Talladega; son, Vance Mowery (Reva), Childersburg; daughter, Leslie Mitchell(Jamie), Talladega; brothers, James Mowery, William Mowery, both of Talladega; sisters, Shirley Barber, Pell City, and Imogene White, Tuscaloosa; grandchildren, Amber Casey, Chelsea Mowery, Taj Seals.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Peggy Murner and her family, Dr. Clay Davis, and Southern Care Hospice for the care provided to Mr. Mowery.
