Obituary of James A. Crosby

Funeral service for Mr. James A. "Jim" Crosby 72, of Talladega, will be Friday, February 13, 2015, at 2:00 pm at Usrey Brown-Service Funeral Home. Rev. Dan Mattox will officiate and burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park, Talladega AL. His family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct. Mr. Crosby passed away February 10, 2015 in Citizens BMC Talladega, Alabama. Mr. Crosby was a native of Montgomery, AL. He lived in Talladega since 1969. He was on the 1959 State Championship Football Team for Robert E. Lee High School. He graduated from Troy University. He was retired from E.H. Gentry. He was also a retired member of the Alabama National Guard. Jim was a loving and faithful family man. He was loving and loyal with a heart of a servant, and never had a bad word about anyone. His memory will be cherished by his family forever. He is preceded in death by daughter, Anna Katherine McLendon, mother, Belle Crosby, father, George Jenkins Crosby, brother-in-law, Lee Johnson. Survivors include wife, Colleen Crosby, daughter, Louise C. (Kenneth) Lockridge, brother, George (Mindy) Crosby, sister, Drusilla Johnson, grandchildren, Hannah and Rebecca McLendon, grandchildren, Anna Hope and Genna Grace Lockridge, sister-in-law, Camille (David) Mitchell, sister-in-law, Beverly Pope, brother-in-law, Joe V. Caldwell, niece, Valerie Pope (Brian) Burnes, nephew, Vance (Jane) Mitchell, nephew, Jody Mitchell, nephew, Vann Caldwell Pallbearers will be David Miller, Kenneth Lockridge, Jody Mitchell, Robert McLendon, Vann Caldwell, and Chris Rhodes
