Obituary of Eloise Foster Hood

Eloise Foster Hood passed into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, February 8 2015, She is preceded in death by parents, Maurice and Nell Roquemore Foster. Husband, James L. Hood, Jr., Sister, Sara Bush and brother-in-law Albert. She is survived by: Sons, Lyle Hood (Liz), of Alamosa, CO. Jim Hood (Debbie), of Daphne, AL. Daughters, Honey Miller (Barry), of Cropwell, AL and Beth Paris (Shay), of Talladega, sister-in-law, Patty Rozelle and Billy. Grandchildren: Amy Harstedt, Paige Hood, (Brandon Richardson) Valerie Hurst, (Jeff), Brooke Edmiston,( Paul), Stephen Miller, Joey Paris, Stacy Miller, Kyle Paris, (Bethany), Lyle Miller, Jimmy and Mary Hood. She also leaves 10 loving great-grandchildren. Eloise was active in the community and was a member of many organizations including, The Junior Welfare League of Talladega, The Highland City Club, The Daughters of The American Revolution, The Holly Garden Club and was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church of Talladega. She left behind many friends and loved ones, leaving a lasting and positive impression on them all. Eloise enjoyed golf, stamp collecting, cooking and playing bridge, but her true joy came from her family and friends. She will be missed by all of us. AND THE LORD SAID," WELL DONE THY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT" Mathew 25:23 Funeral arrangements will be at the First Presbyterian Church in Talladega on Tuesday, February the 10th with visitation at 10:00 AM and services at 1100. All friends are welcome. Serving as pallbearers will be Stephen Miller, Lyle Miller, Joey Paris, Kyle Paris, Jeff Hurst, Paul Edmiston and Jimmy Hood Knowing how practical, thrifty, and charitable Eloise was, she would prefer that instead of flowers, please donate to one of the following non- profit organizations. Lakeside Hospice, P.O. Box 544, Pell City, AL 35125, First Presbyterian Church, 130 East North ST., Talladega, AL 35160.
