Obituary of Thomas Ray Wade

Thomas Ray Wade, 59, of Shelbyville, TN passed away on Monday, January 06, 2025. A funeral ceremony will be held in his honor at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega with Kevin Jones officiating. His family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow directly after the service at Hillcrest Cemetery in Munford, AL. Mr. Wade was a native of Munford, AL and spent most of his life there. However, he was currently living in Shelbyville, TN. He attended Munford High School where he played football and spent a lot of his free time helping other students with disabilities. Mr. Wade was formerly the head mechanic for Lloyd and Boyd Drag Racing Company but spent most of his career as an over the road truck driver. He was a baptized Christian man and a member of Dry Valley Baptist Church. His hobbies included fishing and working on any kind of vehicle. He was a very hardworking and kind man who wanted to help everyone. He even spent much of his time working on vehicles throughout his neighborhood. He was a very loving a devoted family man who will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Linda Wade, and brother, Frank Wade. Mr. Wade is survived by his wife of 24 years, Glenda F. Wade; stepsons, Timothy Bohac (Kimberly), Garry Bloodworth, and Robert Bloodworth (Cynthia); grandchildren, Morgan, Marissa, Melissa, and Elva; sister, Sharon Tatum (Glenn), and a host of nieces and nephews. Steven Crim, Robert Bloodworth, David Glen Parker, Gabriel James, Timothy Laporte, and Wayne Parker will serve as pallbearers. Online condolences may be offered at www.usreyfuneralhome.com.
