Obituary of Charles "Chuck" Elwood Setters Jr.

Charles “Chuck” Elwood Setters, Jr., 51, of Munford, AL passed away at his home on Monday, January 06, 2025. A celebration of life will be held in his honor at Southside Baptist Church on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Josh Henderson officiating. His family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. Mr. Setters was a native of Maryland, but had lived in Talladega County since 2003. He was an employee at Anniston Army Depot for over 19 years and was a United States Navy veteran who served in Operation Desert Storm. He also worked in Iraq and Afghanistan as a civilian contractor. Mr. Setters was a member of Southside Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing the guitar and cooking. He was a devoted husband and loving father whose life reflected his unwavering faith in God. A man of deep integrity and compassion, he left a legacy of love, faith, and service to those he cherished most. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Thelma Setters, and sister, Grace Ann Setters Brittian. Mr. Setters is survived by his wife, Skye Setters; daughter, Charley Setters; sister, Barbara Dulaney; brother-in-law, Rusty Brittian; in-laws, Dorsey and Kathy Nunn and Lynn and Janice Smith, and a host of nieces and nephews. The family kindly requests that attendees refrain from wearing black to the funeral service, as they wish to celebrate a life filled with love and light.
