Obituary of Patsy Jean Medley

Patsy Jean Medley, 76, of Talladega, AL passed away at her home on Monday, January 06, 2025. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 08, 2025 at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. A funeral ceremony will be held in her honor at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 09, 2025 at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega with Jeff Pettus officiating. Interment will follow directly after the service at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Medley was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Homewood Acres, and she retired from Food World as a cashier. She was preceded in death by her mother, Aileen Allen; father, G.A. Allen; brother, Bobby Jones, and sister, Faye Robinson. Mrs. Medley is survived by her children, Alton Cheeks (Kim), Rodney Cheeks, and Christie Watson (Cevin); special daughter; Ellen Bean; grandchildren, Crystal Mosley, Ashley Bounds, Josh Cheeks, Taylor Cheeks, Zach Cheeks, Shelby Cheeks, Liam Cheeks, Patrick Colley, Caitlin Lathem, J.T. Lathem, Lexy Lathem, and Logan Lathem; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Sandra Allen and Mary Jones; brother, Gerald Allen; best friend of 50 years, Doris Hart; canine companion, Maggie Mae, and a host of nieces and nephews. Chris Bullard, Bruce Cardwell, Patrick Horner, Patrick Colley, Austin Mosley, and Dawson Mosley will serve as pallbearers. Online condolences may be offered at www.usreyfuneralhome.com.
