Obituary of Mary Ann Peoples

Mary Ann Peoples was born on July 28, 1952 in Leeds, AL to John Logan Bass and Lora Bell Bass. Mary Ann lived in Argo in St. Clair County AL with her family. She received her formal education in Springville, AL Public School. Mary Ann accepted Christ at a young age. In 1977 she met the love of her life and long time companion, James Peoples. She was a stay at home mother to her four children; Sons Mike Allen, Johnny Allen, Robert Peoples and Daughter Angie Peoples Brackner. Mary Ann helped her husband in the family logging business for many years. She developed a love for the outdoors and riding motorcycles with her husband and friends. Mary Ann departed this life on Tuesday December 17, 2024. She was preceded in death by her father, John Logan Bass and mother, Lora Bell Bass; and brother, JB Bass. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 46 years, James Peoples of Odenville, Alabama; sons, Mike Allen (Fay) of Clay, Alabama, Johnny Allen (Leah) of Mt. Laurel, Alabama, and Robert Peoples of Odenville, Alabama; daughter Angie Brackner (Charles) of Calera, Alabama; one brother, Bill Bass (Linda) of Moody, Alabama; 7 grandchildren, Amy Cordar, Ariel Allen, Lundon Allen, Zella Allen, James Taylor, Christopher Taylor, Levi Brackner and 2 great grandchildren, Siva McKeever and Zion Taylor; and a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Lundon Allen, Christopher Taylor, Charles Brackner, Frankie Simmons, Jeff Polston, Jonathan May The family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home - Pell City from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 21, 2024, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Pat Giles.
